Distinguished American Speaker Prof. Ari Goldman, Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, December 11, 2009

Professor Ari L. Goldman, Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, spoke  about “The Demise of the American Newspaper” to an Israeli audience of journalists and experts in the fields of media, political science, and communications.   Professor Goldman, who was in Israel on a Senior Fulbright program at the Hadassah College, presented an historical overview of America’s newspaper industry, both as an academic , and as a journalist who spent 20 years as a reporter at theNew York Times.  Professor Goldman also spoke about trends in new media which are replacing newspapers.
