U.S. Ambassador Richard Jones Hosts Reception to Launch a Pioneering "Educating for Intellectual Property Rights Program"
At a reception hosted by U.S. Ambassador Richard Jones, September 5, 2006, a senior Ministry of Education official launched the national "Educating for Intellectual Property Rights program," a unique educational project which aims to increase the awareness of, and respect for, IPR among Israeli junior and high school students and teachers. The innovative, educational program initiated by a local Jerusalem NGO, the Center for Business Ethics, in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals Israel, Microsoft Israel, the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Justice, provides Israeli youth with an understanding of the role that intellectual property rights play in security core shared values.
