U.S. Ambassador Richard H. Jones pays visit to The Babylonian
Jewry Heritage Center in Or Yehuda on February 16, 2006.
Ambassador Jones was welcomed by Mordechai Ben-Porat, Founder and Chairman of The Babylonian Jewry Heritage Center. The visit began with a video, which explained the history of the research center and museum, followed by a tour of the museum's impressive collection of ethnographic material, Judaica, archival documents, books, and manuscripts which trace the 2700 year history of Babylonian Jewry. The visit concluded with a traditional Iraqi lunch.
