BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:

This position is located in the Regional Security Office (RSO) at the U.S. Embassy, in Tel Aviv.  The incumbent is responsible for the Post’s Residential Security Program.  Ensures that all residences, within a pool of approximately 180 homes, are in compliance with Diplomatic Security Standards.  Conducts residential security surveys on behalf of the (RSO).  Installs and maintains alarm systems. Maintains appropriate records and reports for the RSO.

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:

·        Completion of secondary education is required.

·        Minimum of 3 years of experience in the installation of and repair of alarm systems, including a majority of the types installed in Israel.  This includes the skills required to do all required electrical and telephone connections. Incumbent must be able to evaluate and plan the alarm requirements for any given residence.

·        Level IV Hebrew and English (fluent) both written and spoken.

·        Expert knowledge to connect/disconnect alarm systems from residential properties including apartment complexes, ability to trace electrical wiring faults and correct problems in complex wiring situations with multiple alarm zones, ability to trace and compete telephone line connections for CAMS connections on a variety of different alarm types. Ability to learn and understand the security requirements of the Department of State for residential properties

·        Must possess a valid Israeli Drivers License (proof must be attached to the applications)

·        Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel and Access.
