Extra Pages for Passport

If your passport's visa pages are becoming full, but your passport is still valid and in good condition, you may apply for additional pages to be added to your passport. Only one set of extra pages (24 pages are in each set) can be added to your passport at a time, but if needed, and if your passport remains in good condition, you may have up to two sets of extra pages inserted into your passport. Once this limit is reached, you will need to apply for a new passport.

Application Requirements

Please bring an original of the following to the Embassy for your appointment:

1) Your valid ten- or five-year passport:

2) Form DS-4085 Application for Additional Visa Pages:

  • Please ignore page one of the instruction pages, as it does not apply when applying for extra pages in Israel. Follow the instructions on this web page. For tips on completing the DS-4085, follow this link

3) Fees: no fee is charged for this service.

4) For children under 14, the child and both parents must appear at the Embassy. If only one parent is able to appear, we can accept the following documents as proof from the other parent:

  • A notarized consent Form DS-3053 from the other parent. The consent must include a copy of the U.S. or foreign passport of the parent who is not appearing at the Embassy;
  • Original Death Certificate;
  • Original Court order from granting “sole-custody” (bilidit) to the parent appearing at the Embassy; or
  • Original Birth certificate listing only one parent.

5) For children under 14, you will need to present the child’s original Birth certificate listing both parents.

6) Envelope:

  • We will make every effort to process your application while you wait. However, if the current work load does not permit that, we must mail the passport back to you. If we must mail it, you will need to bring:
    • A self-addressed, stamped envelope with at least 10NIS  of postage, or
    • You may use the messenger service, which will deliver your passports directly to your home or work in Israel.  The cost is 34NIS and the messenger service will call you for a credit card to charge that fee.  An envelope for the messenger service will be provided at the Embassy.

Processing Time

An application for extra pages will be processed by our office as quickly as possible.  Depending on current work load, we may be able to process the application while you wait.  Otherwise, it generally takes about 2 weeks to return the passport.
