Ambassador Cunningham Hosts Peter Yarrow at the Residence (January 17)

Ambassador and Mrs. James B. Cunningham hosted legendary U.S. singer and social advocate Peter Yarrow (“Peter, Paul and Mary”) who performed before an enthusiastic audience with Israeli singing icon David Broza and the “Voices of Peace Choir” of the Arab-Jewish Center in Jaffa.  The event was covered by the daily English language press.  Yarrow’s visit to Israel was a follow up of his “Operation Respect: Don’t Laugh at Me” project aimed at providing tools to create a respectful, safe and tolerant climate of learning in the classroom and the community.  With the support of the Ministry of Education, the Center of Educational Technology is implementing “Operation Respect” as a pilot project in two Jewish and two Arab schools.
